Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Mental Health Intern

Growing up, mental health was not openly discussed in my family, even though its impact was often present. I learned early on how easy it can be to carry emotions quietly and move through life without fully acknowledging what you’re holding.

During my undergraduate studies, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Being present with her through treatment, recovery, and remission became a pivotal turning point in my life. That experience deepened my understanding of the importance of emotional support, self-awareness, and compassionate care during difficult seasons. It also led me to reflect more intentionally on my own wellbeing and ultimately shift my educational and career path toward psychology.

Through both personal reflection and professional training, I’ve come to understand how stress, past experiences, and unprocessed emotions influence the ways we cope and relate to ourselves and others. While my own journey first drew me to counselling, it is the opportunity to support others through their unique experiences that continues to ground and inspire my work.

I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. My approach is relational, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you feel respected, supported, and empowered to move at a pace that feels right for you.

I recognize that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable — especially if you’ve been managing on your own for a long time. My goal is to meet you with empathy, curiosity, and care, while honouring your strengths, resilience, and lived experiences. I believe healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
